Wright Rhythm's Dazzlers and Sparklers

When Wright Rhythm first entered the Supadance League we had just two teams with some people dancing in both, this year there are eight teams competing! We've come a long way (with more than a little stress, but also with lots of fun)...

Match Report

Yes, Supadance League is back and, with two championship wining teams and many more new-comers, it could be the most exciting year for Wright Rhythm fans ever!  Last year the Senior Dazzlers won the Nationwide Division 2 and the Junior Dazzlers won the Southern Division 2 and came a very close second in the Nationwide Division 2 so all eyes will be on these team to see if they can reproduce last year's form.  For the new-comers, we now have a third Adult team and a second Junior team who will be looking to make a big impact in their debut year.

The Juvenile and Junior Competitions

Unfortunately our regular reporter was unable to be at the event in the morning, it would be great to hear from someone who was there to report and comment on what happened... please use the feedback form (all entries will be checked, edited and collated before being posted so feel free to send any snippets of info you have).

The Adult And Senior Competitions

Now he comes to think of it, out regular reporter wasn't really paying enough attention in the afternoon either so this may be brief... There were some excellent results in the supporting events - Tim and Sophie took the League by storm, winning the 21-35 years three dance at their League debut and beating the cream of the South East area dancers.  In the 16-21 years three dance, Kyle and Rebecca took second place with Kieran and Thee in 6th and in the over 35 years three dance Howard and Gillian stormed into third place. In the 'American' Rumba (where everyone changes partners each round) three Wright Rhythm dancers made the final - Howard came 6th with his partner, Gillian came second and Thee won!

I still haven't quite got the hang of what happens in Supadance team matches (any easy-to-follow explanations gratefully received), however, I do know that, as the first team match of the year this match was to establish which division each team should compete in so there was considerable pride at stake. Congratulation, therefore, go to the Junior Dazzlers and the Adult Dazzlers who both made it into the first division of their competitions.
