Match Report
After a much earlier start than necessary, (Cathy, Carys and Nichole arrived at 9.15 for a 10am start, not realising the doors opened at 10!), we arrived at Wellington College and its impressive grounds.
The Sport’s Centre had a great floor to dance on but the acoustics left a lot to be desired. Due to a slight hitch with directions, people were beginning to panic that partners hadn’t arrived. They needn’t have worried the Yeovil team were all delayed.
The team matches got off to a good start with the 2nd division team match. Our team (aka the Juvenile team) was enthusiastic but looked very small with the other Juniors. Some concern was voiced over them wearing ‘E’ numbers! Aren’t we supposed to avoid them! A quick change of numbers and our Juvenile team (looking very similar to our Junior 2nd division team) were off. They looked much more comfortable and were dominating the floor.
The 1st division team looked very skilled and confident as they danced, as did the All-Ladies when it was their turn.
