Adult Ballroom and Latin Qualifying 2007/08

Sunday 16th September 2007 : Haywards Heath

In previous reports I've often waxed lyrical (with good reason) about the style, grace and all-round quality of the dancers from Wright Rhythm. This time, however, I would like the results to speak for themselves...

Ok, having said I won't wax lyrical, there are a few people who deserve special mention for their outstanding performances and contributions.

Firstly, to all those of you who joined Wright Rhythm over the last few months, congratulations on choosing the best dance school in London (if not the world). The way everyone has integrated, boosting the friendly and supportive atmosphere of the school has been a fabulous experience for us all (well, certainly for me and I hope for everyone else).

Of course, the results would not have been nearly so impressive were it not for the hard work that all the partners put in not only on the day but also in the weeks and months leading up to the competition.  In particular those who were partnering for the first time - it's a tough experience, even more so than competing for yourself.  Every partner gave their all on the day and I hope you are feeling the pride and reflected glory that the results show you deserve.

Connor, Chris and Jemma who competed in the adult section for the first time, all qualified for Blackpool and all made finals in their supporting events.  The future of Wright Rhythm is clearly very safe in your hands and you will be inspiration for all the young Wright Rhythmers coming up through the ranks.

The mums, dads, friends, family and general hanger-oners who supported our dancers every step of the way - you keep our feet moving even when we can barely stand.

And last, but by no means least, Gilli, Paula and Mark - clearly we couldn't have done it without you.

We'll all be going to Blackpool in April with the pride and confidence that comes from knowing that we can perform when it counts and we have the friendship and support of a strong and vibrant school to carry us all the way to the top... See you there!

It seems that mine was the only camera that didn't get a team photo, could someone who has one please bring a copy to the studio.  Thanks!
